The Sixth Annual Fall Conference was our biggest fall event ever with over 2,100 attendees, and this year we’ve expanded to two and a half days packed with a carefully curated lineup featuring the role of consumers, big data, health care marketplaces, as well as old favorites like the Unmentionables, 3 CEOs, and the debut of 10 new companies during Launch! In this class Aman Bhandari and Dr. Tom Tsang will address how two recent major legislative actions, HITECH and the Affordable Care Act, are impacting the use of data in health care. Aman and Tom will draw from their extensive work inside both government and the private sector to describe how the two are simultaneously using data to drive cost savings and open new HIT markets via greater transparency. In addition they will share their vision for data partnerships at Merck and discuss how data is changing the pharmaceutical industry business model. Fred Trotter is a recognized expert in Free and Open Source medical software and security systems. He co-authored the first Health IT O’Reilly book “Hacking Healthcare.” He is also the founder of Not Only Development, which focuses on developing game-changing health care software. In recognition of his role within the health IT community, Fred was the Open Source representative invited by the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics to testify on the definition of ‘meaningful use’. He also represented the Open Source EHR community in negotiations with CCHIT, the leading EHR certification body. Fred has spoken on this topic in a variety of publications including WIRED, Government Health IT, Linux Journal, and NPR.
Cathie Markow leads Castlight’s efforts to find the best possible clinical quality data and incorporate it into the Castlight solution, making it meaningful and actionable to consumers. Prior to her role at Castlight, Cathie managed the California Regional Collaborative at Pacific Business Group on Health (PBGH), a multi-stakeholder organization focused on provider performance measurement and reporting, where she was involved in a variety of health care quality reporting and improvement activities both within CA and nationally. Cathie holds an M.B.A. from Northeastern University and a B.S in Nursing and B.A. in Sociology from Hartwick College.

George K. Mathew is president and Chief Operating Officer of Alteryx where he oversees marketing, products, and strategy for the company. Most recently, George was the group vice-president & general manager for Business Intelligence (BI) at SAP BusinessObjects, the fastest growing business in SAP's diverse portfolio.
