Disease is not spontaneously procured; it is always produced. It is acquired by a lifestyle that is not aligned with the laws of nature. Food is the source of life. Digestion is the root of all health. However, where, when and how one eats is just as important as what one eats. The quality of digestion is related to what is going on in the mind, in the body, in our environment and in our emotions. The wisdom of circadian rhythm medicine, as seen through the eyes of the Veda, is a game changer. These rhythmic patterns subtly switch every two hours within the 24-hour cycle. Living according to these principles and patterns can help us to know favorable and unfavorable times for optimal digestion, exercise, sleep, intercourse, waking, meditation, studying and work. Karyn will provide practical pearls of wisdom for improving digestion, reducing stress, boosting immunity, losing weight, and living happily and harmoniously with the rhythms of nature using the brilliance of a time-proven, evidence-based medical system called Ayurveda, aka, the science of longevity.

Thai Massage is an energetic practice based on Sen lines, which are similar to the Nadas of Prana in the Yogic lineages. Physiologically, the goal of this method is to increase the easeful flow of energy, blood, and lymph in the body. Generally, the strokes move from the limbs toward the heart and then back out for this purpose. COVIDlife has made physical touch a challenge to come by. In this way, Thai Massage offers an incredible way to connect and offer a tangible release to family, friends, and loved ones by guiding them through deep physical relaxation. No previous experience is necessary. Come as you are, learn some new techniques for touch, and share the love!

Made in Brazil with Mexican ingredients, Rosa Santana, Iyengar Yoga and International Yoga Therapists Certified, has been studying, teaching, and propagating the therapeutic art of Iyengar Yoga since 1995. She was drawn to the mental and physical discipline after suffering three accidental falls, one of which fractured her tailbone. Since healing her back, neck and sciatica pains, she has introduced yoga to thousands of students who had never experienced this healing art and science. She used yoga therapy on herself when dealing with Covid symptoms recently.
Sera has been a lifetime student and accomplished teacher of Yoga and Ayurveda. She has been blessed with teachers who have searched classically for the patterns of the Universe and Spirit. Her studies and experiences in the realms of Yoga, Mantra, and Ayurveda all serve to assist in increasing her depth, sensitivity, and simplicity in ways she lives and practices. Her primary source training has allowed her to be a dynamic teacher and facilitator of the modern age. She is fluent in human physical and psychological mechanics and thus can adjust sequences, lectures, and treatment plans rapidly to accommodate individuals' present needs. In classes we will focus on the science behind the relationships between the body, the mind, and their bridges. We will be most observant of the flow of prana – how and where it moves and does not move in posture and how it relates – or does not – with consciousness. Using the paradigms of Ha-tha Yoga and Ayurveda we will explore our capacity to be both strong and flexible, moving and still, Ha and Tha, and of course, migrate in the direction of steady appreciation and holistic awareness. My goal is to contextualize things that are often taught in broad strokes without context. From this place, it is possible to go deep instead of only wide. When we are aware of context our work is more personalized and profound and thus the impact we have on the people with whom we work will be that much more powerful and in service. By studying and/or working with me you will gain a personal understanding of Yoga and Ayurveda in a way that is usable, approachable, and Classically based.
