Karyn Armstrong was one of 4 shamanic practitioners in a clinical trial of shamanic healing funded by the National Institute of Health's research grant and carried out by researchers at Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research in Portland, Oregon. Karyn spoke about the benefits of shamanic practice at the Re-thinking Psychiatry Symposium. She brings years of wisdom and experience. Creator of Medicine Art bridging spirituality-shamanism using the creative art process. Karyn spent many years in thriving in corporate America working for such companies as Clinique and Christian Dior Perfumes, as well as the fast-paced high-tech communications industry of MCI WorldCom and AT&T. Two weeks after her first shamanic healing, (soul retrieval) she resigned her position and left corporate culture to explore a more heart-centered life and career and Harmonic Visions was born in 1998.

Deb has been teaching classes in energy body basics, energetic herbalism and connecting to the Earth since 2007 and has worked as a healer since 2011. She has studied with both herbal and shamanic luminaries. She says of herself as a teacher: "My ultimate goal is to create a bond between the plant/spirit world and the student and to give the student a solid understanding of herbal medicine, shamanism and our relationship between the human world/human being and the rest of Creation. I want people to be grounded in this life and Earth and to fully occupy their own bodies. These things are essential to being fully human and to be in right relationship with yourself and Others - whoever those Others may be." As a healer Deb uses her psychic and intuitive talents, along with her deep knowledge of herbs, to help people bring about lasting change and transformation in their lives.
